Update on databound datagrid not updating
But when I try to change the Datasource with my Source.data(ds) it does not work. When I execute this: ds Object().read(); ds Object().refresh(); The Grid is updated but another problem occured whith the pagination. I called Source.read(); grid.refresh(); The data got refreshed however the sorting and pageing was not working at all. However before you do so you have to destrot the old one. When "ds" is a simple json object containing a simple list of objects the Grid is updated correctly, but when "ds" is a data Source with oher config parameters defined, the grid is cleared, as the datasource had no record. When I first show the Grid the pagination works perfectly but after the update above when I try to move to a different page I receive the error: Microsfot JScript runtime error: DOM Exception: NOT_FOUND_ERROR (8) And an error is maked ant all here: c.table.replace Child(i,c.tbody) Hiow can I solve this ? As I told you I can refresh the grid but a problem occured whith the pagination. Step 1Create a Windows Forms Application Project, and place a Data Grid View on the form. As: Points of Interest You can insert a row and click the update button; a row in the database will be inserted.Step 2Click on the pin button on right-up side of Data Grid View and click add project Data Source. If you update any cell and click the update button, then the database will be updated. And this was not just for Updates, but also for Inserts and Deletes. But, I wouldn't be here if I didn't have a solution. Invalidate UI command, as that's basically what I was trying to do: repaint the grid. What I wasn't doing with that was telling the Datagrid to look at the underlying datasource and refresh the UI from that. Yeah, I did feel a bit silly after finding that out.The Table Adapter Manager class ensures that updates are made in the correct order based on the foreign-key constraints that are defined in the database. When you use data-bound controls, the databinding architecture creates a member variable of the Table Adapter Manager class called table Adapter Manager.
I thought this would be simple but it is proving to be difficult. As an example is say I have a query that outputs 2 rows of data: Select TEST. I am setting the grid's datasource in this way: So I finally solved this problem. Then double click the button control and call the gridview method.
